Nairobi Believers Mission is privileged to be part of what God is doing in Africa today. During the months of June-July, 2005, the church was part of some dynamic outreaches; church planting and evangelism programs.
In rural Kibigori (located 50 Kilometers east of the western Kenya city Kisumu), NBM and local missioners organised an outreach program that planted a church of well over two hundred locals on the first Sunday.
God honored this work due to the commitment and unity of team members. The targeted area was 8 x 3 Kilometers, covered on foot in temperatures as high as 33 C/98 F during the daytime. Teams of three covered 11 villages each day for the length of the mission.
Among the preparations, every believer was in prayer, fasting and consecration during the whole operation.
Ministry is growing and things are also getting a bit hectic. We are now able to put three Sudanese kids through school. Two are in Kindergarten and one in grade one. Hopefully by the end of this month we'll be getting David in grade three.
At the Bible centre, we are continually seeing more signs of revival. On Saturday after sharing, one young man called Robert said in front of the congregation that he would like to be born again. He confessed that he's been a conman and a drunk and wanted Jesus to save him. This came after a massage I was preaching, telling the congregation that accepting Jesus is like enlisting into the army. There's no promise that things will always get better. But for better or for worse, Jesus is looking for soldiers who're willing to follow Him and establish His Kingdom here on earth.
More and more youths are responding to this call.
